Gary Hill is a barrister practising in family law, appearing in complex parenting and property proceedings in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. He regularly acts as counsel and as Independent Children’s Lawyer in matters involving high-risk allegations, expert evidence, and competing developmental considerations.

Gary is known for a clear, structured and practical approach to evidence. He focuses on aligning legal argument with expert material and risk frameworks, assisting the Court to resolve difficult cases efficiently and with a child-focused perspective.

Before coming to the Bar, Gary held senior roles in education. That experience informs his analysis of family systems, communication patterns, and developmental outcomes for children.
